Day of Dragons is a creature survival sandbox game by Beawesome Games. This game simulates the life of a dragon as it tries to survive a large, open world. The goal is to rule the world as one of the several dragon species or unlock the secrets to play as an elemental.

Day of Dragons is an online multiplayer game that takes place on a dedicated server that you or someone else is hosting. However, note that this game is still under development. It currently has one map and only two playable dragons. Additionally, survival is mostly based on luck. 

What is Day of Dragons?

Day of Dragons allows you to play as a dragon. Here, you will start as a hatchling and must eat and drink to grow and survive. To do so, you must explore the vast map, which includes multiple biomes, such as forests, lava, swamps, grasslands, caves, and deserts. As mentioned, the game is multiplayer. With this, you can team up with other players for a higher chance of survival.

Dragon fans are also in for a treat as the game features behaviors that dragons are known to do. For one, you can fly, swim, walk, run, and even sleep. Some can even swim underwater. Moreover, some dragons can spit fire while some can shoot plasma and acid. However, learning how to fly can be a little difficult. Although, once you do, the experience can be addicting.

Before you can experience the world as an adult dragon, however, you will need to go through the boring stage of the baby phase. Growth and breeding take a while. Worse, your survival rate during this stage is purely based on luck, as you cannot do anything. You have to pray that you spawned near a water source, or you will die of thirst or starvation. 

Thrilling gameplay with a social aspect

In Day of Dragons, your adventure begins with the delicate process of dragon egg hatching, where you can see the lineage of your dragon shaped by the attributes passed down from both parents. Alternatively, you can dive straight into the action with a dragon whose abilities are the luck of the draw, ensuring a level of unpredictability and diversity within the same species.

By enabling players to unlock and become Elementals, the game incorporates an extra layer of challenge and prestige. Once you become an Elemental—an alpha-class character with superior abilities—you elevate your status and gain a competitive edge. However, this comes with a risk, as you inevitably become a high-priority target for other players pursuing your downfall and seeking to prove their might. 

From a technical perspective, the game sets a high mark with its physics-driven flight system. It features an authentic flight experience that balances intuitive controls for beginners with the complexity that seasoned gamers will appreciate as they aim to perfect their mastery of the skies. Social interaction plays a key role in the game. Immerse yourself in the intricate clan system, complete with specialized communication channels and hierarchical leadership roles.

Is the game good?

Overall, Day of Dragons offers a unique premise as it allows you to play as a dragon. Although there is only one map available, its sheer scale makes up for it. With its multiple biomes, you won't run out of places to explore. However, some parts of its gameplay are a little boring. Moreover, as a survival game, it places you at the mercy of luck.
